Precisely what you need for Aviation Awareness

I’ve used WingX for several iterations and it has consistently exceeded my expectations. Integration with a number of third party hardware solutions rather than bolting you to a single ADS-B/AHRS system was crucial for me. I’ve used WingX with my Sagetech Clarity SV and have done numerous dog rescues for Pilots N Paws. Once I had a complete electrical outage on my panel. With my backup handheld radio and WingX on my yoke, I was actually quite comfortable navigating to my home airport. I as well as the dogs I rescue are safer because of the situational awareness as well as the knowledge that the charts and airport information is the best and most recent possible. From my observation, Hilton Software seems to be on the cutting edge. Other aviation packages seem to magically come up with new stuff after WingX has had it in the field for several months. I remember when WingX was the only major aviation app that had ’track up’. I was using another app concurrently, and emailed that developer about a track up feature and was told that it wasn’t something that they felt was desired by their customers.. Fast-Forward about a year and guess what. That app made track up a feature and tried to make it look like they were first to come up with the idea when in fact, WingX had that for ages. Thanks Hilton Software for daring to be edgy enough to be innovative while in such a demanding market knowing full well that competitors will take your ideas and spin them as if they came up with it all on their own.
